Wenn man die meiste Zeit in seinem Büro sitzt und den Monitor anstarrt ist es mal eine feine Abwechslung, echte Leute aus dem Bereich eCommerce zu treffen, mit ihnen zu sprechen und ihnen zuzuhören. So habe ich mich am letzten Dienstag spontan entschlossen, die knapp 180 Euro zu investieren und mich für das ePayment-Forum in Düsseldorf anzumelden. Wie es der Name schon vermuten lässt ging es bei allen Vorträgen um die Frage, wie Kunden in Onlineshops bezahlen und wie auf der anderen Seite die Händler an ihr Geld kommen können. Wer jetzt meint, das sei aber ein trockenes Thema für einen ganzen Tag, dem sei gesagt … stimmt!

Die Veranstaltung war vor allem eine elaborierte Werbeplattform für Payment-Anbieter. Ob nun T-Pay (Manfred Schömer), Geldkarte (Volker Koppe) oder LUUPAY (Andreas Schulz), alle Vortragenden priesen die Vorzüge der jeweiligen Systeme. Der Tenor war allerdings, dass es das perfekte System für das eCommerce von morgen noch nicht gibt. Bei T-Pay ist der Haken meiner Meinung nach die Tatsache, dass ein Kunde, der bestimmte Zahlweisen nutzen möchte, vorher Kunde bei der Telekom sein muss (das werden ja auch immer weniger). Bei der Geldkarte stellt sich die Frage, wie viele User sich wirklich ein Kartenlesegerät (für zurzeit noch 80 – 90 Euro) kaufen und neben den Rechner stellen. Und im Fall von LUUPAY, der Zahlmethode via Handy frage ich mich, wie man den Leuten massenweise die heiß geliebte und gut gehütete Handynummer entlockt. Mittelfristig werden wir es sicherlich noch länger mit den Payment-Dinosauriern Vorkasse, Nachnahme und Kreditkarte zu tun haben, was auch Georg Wittmann in seiner Ergebnispräsentation der Onlineumfrage zum B2C-eCommerce von ibi research der Universität bestätigte.
